Each of your buttons will be 2.25 inches in diameter.
Start by creating a new file for each button that is 2.25 x 2.25 inches with a resolution of 300.
Create your artwork following the criteria given to you. A copy is below.
When complete, use the circle marquee tool to select a circle out of your square canvas. When you select the tool, you can change the size by checking the "Fixed Size" option under "Style" in the top information bar. At this point you can type in 2.25 inches for width and height.
Click and drag to make your selection. Go to Select>Inverse and then hit delete. You should be left with just your artwork in a circle.
Copy the completed button design by dragging it over to another file that is 9 x 12 inches, 300 resolution. All five of your designs should go here. We will print them in a group.
Your buttons should be mini pieces of art. I expect you to go above and beyond the criteria listed and add your own personal flavor to your designs. Each button is worth 5 points. These buttons should be your original art. Make sure each button is unique and has enough artistic input. In other words, do not just pop a "Apple" logo on the button and call it done. Expand and add interest.
Think about what you would want to buy.
